Local Gaymer Group SubmissionTabletop Gaymers2021-12-13T12:49:30-06:00
  • Thank you for helping us build and maintain our list of LOCAL Gaymer Groups!
    You can view our "Sample Gaymers" group for an idea as to how this information will be used.
    If you mean to submit information for a ONLINE group (e.g. Power Grid Gaymers), please use the Online Gaymer Group Submission Form instead.
  • In regards to information on the Tabletop Gaymers website, what action are you asking us to take?
  • What web page do you want to update?
  • For updates, you only need to provide information that needs updated. For required fields with no changes, simply write "no change" in the field.
  • What web page do you want removed?
  • Please let us know why you would like this information removed and your (previous) role in the group.

  • Public Information

    This information will be listed on your page on our website.
  • The name of your group, for example "Burlington Gaymers" or "Greyhound Gay Geeks".
  • This is the general area that most of your members are from. If you're near a major metropolitan area, such as "Minneapolis", we suggest that you list that instead of the actual location.
  • Provide a brief description of your group; a few sentences describing the nature of your group. Keep in mind that there more sections below for detailed information.
  • Please consider including a group photo, logo, or other graphic element to your page. If you don't have one handy, you can email it to contact [at] tabletopgaymers.org at a later date.

    Note: If you are updating a page, but not the image, you do NOT need to upload the image again. An uploaded image will replace the existing image.
    Accepted file types: jpg, gif, png, Max. file size: 10 MB.

  • Contact Information

    How can people find out more about your group? None of these fields are required, but you should have at least one, and you should include those you do have. If you have restricted information (such as a private Facebook group), we encourage you still include it! That way people can at least find the information and request to join.
  • A "page" is generally for businesses and organizations, where people can like and follow. (Most will just have a Facebook Group. See next field.)
  • A "group" is generally for discussion, where members can join and post their own entries (and it has /group/ in the web address.)
  • You have a Google Group?! Kudos to you! Way to buck the trend!
  • Discord? Instagram? Reddit? Twitter? If you have other social media that you'd like included, describe it here and we'll add it.

  • Contact Email

    If you prefer, we're happy to set up a simple contact form for people to use instead of directly emailing you. Instead of revealing your email address, they will fill out a form which in turn sends the message to the email address.
  • Email address to either be displayed or to be used in the contact form.

  • Areas of Interest

    Include the gaming areas upon which your group focuses. If your group plays video games, but only once a year as a group, it is probably not worth including.
  • Put each area of interest on its own line starting with an asterisk. For example:
    * Board Games
    * Role-Playing Games
    * Video Games

  • Activities

    List your regular (weekly, monthly) activities and your planned annual events (e.g. Gen Con, Origins, PAX East). Do not include things that either you don't want the public to know about or change frequently. We are not interested in updating your page every month.
  • Use this format to list your activities and put an extra line break between activities (see the Sample Gaymers example).
    * Activity Name (frequency) - brief description
    * Activity Name (frequency) - brief description

  • Private Information

    The rest of this is information that we will not share on your Gaymer Group web page. This is information for us to contact you if needed for updates, clarification, verification, etc.
  • This is you, the person filling out this form. You need to complete this information regardless of the action requested (add, update, or remove).
  • Again, this is you, the person filling out this form. You need to complete this information regardless of the action requested (add, update, or remove).
  • This isn't required, but it is helpful if we need to get in contact with you directly.

  • Who's in charge of this group? If this is you, leave this blank. If you are filling this out for a different person, put their name.
  • Again, if you're in charge, leave this blank.
  • Again, again, if you're in charge, leave this blank.

  • Is there anything else that you'd like to tell us? Additional information about the group, caveats, concerns, questions?
